IRS Extends Tax Deadline

Yep, you read it right, the IRS extends the federal tax filing deadline for individual tax returns until May 17th. If you’re getting a refund, the IRS encourages you to file now and not to wait. This extension does not apply to estimated tax deadlines or business tax returns.

The IRS has also extended the federal tax deadline to June 15, 2021 for residents of Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana due to severe storms.
